When you apply for a loan with Cash Converters, we collect, use, and share your personal information so we can:

• confirm your identity and meet our legal obligations under the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003 (CCCFA) and the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 (AML/CFT Act)
• assess your loan application and your ability to repay
• administer your loan if it is approved, including managing payments, contacting you, and recovering any overdue amounts
• support security, fraud prevention, business operations, and service improvements.

To do this, we may:

• verify your identity, conduct credit checks, and obtain information from credit reporting bodies
• contact your employer, referees, or alternative contacts
• securely access your bank transaction information through an approved third-party provider (with your consent each time)
• share information with service providers such as payment processors, IT and cloud-hosting providers (which may be located overseas), and debt collection agencies.

You do not have to provide the information we request, but if you choose not to, we may not be able to process your application or provide you with a loan.

Electronic Marketing

We may send you electronic marketing messages about our products, services, promotions, and updates. You can choose to opt out of receiving these messages at any time. Once your customer profile is created, you can manage your marketing preferences directly through your account or by following the unsubscribe instructions included in any marketing communication.
